A Letter From Bob

Line

Dear Friend,

My name is Bob Callow and I am running for the Canadian Alliance nomination in the federal riding of Oak Ridges (Richmond Hill, Whitchurch-Stouffville and Markham north of 16th avenue).

I am a long term resident of York Region; I am married and together with Olga, have raised four children. I serve on the Police Services Board and I am very familiar with the issues that face us in York Region. Issues such as healthcare, community safety, growth and traffic gridlock to name a few.

I am running for this nomination because I am deeply concerned with what the Liberals have done to this country. It’s not just the broken promises, the waste of taxpayers’ dollars, the golf courses and river fountains in the Prime Minister’s riding, but it is the long term impact and legacy of their disastrous policies. Policies such as the reduction of $25 billion dollars in health transfer payments to the provinces which is having and will continue to have a major long term effect on health care for our seniors and our families. Policies related to debt and taxes that is leaving a heavy burden on our children and their children, and causing about 65,000 people (mainly young professionals) a year to leave to the U.S. It is these long term policies and others that they stand for that compels me to step forward and be counted.

The true battleground in the next election for the Canadian Alliance will be Ontario. This province has sent over 100 Liberals to Ottawa in the last two elections out of 303 across the country. These members were never heard from again in terms of protecting Ontario’s interests i.e. the health transfer payments. It is therefore very important that the Canadian Alliance send someone to Ottawa who is experienced, knowledgeable and passionate about making the tough decisions to make the changes that our country needs, and is someone who will stand up to look after Ontario’s interests…. I believe I fill that description.

We are blessed with a new leader, new policies and a new party. Stockwell Day, who is an exciting and charismatic leader, will breathe life into these common sense policies and along with solid candidates, will provide a winning combination for us to break through in Ontario.

I believe I have the passion, the experience, the knowledge, the energy and the desire to effectively represent the people of Oak Ridges in the next federal parliament.

I ask for your help and support during this critical nomination process.  You can call me at home at 1-905-727-7962 if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

R. B. Callow
